ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists): an organization which negotiates, safeguards and promotes the professional rights of its Members

AES (Audio Engineering Society): a professional organization devoted exclusively to audio technology

AFFATI (Association For Film And Television Integrity): an organization that is committed to raising and maintaining the level of the entertainment industry's completed projects and focus

BEA (Broadcast Education Association): preparing college students to enter the radio and TV business

CFTPA (Canadian Film and Television Production Association): creating a favorable national and international environment for their industry and culture to prosper via balanced representation, dialogue and negotiation with members and key stakeholders; including governments, labour, investors, other industries, advocates, audiences and the general public

Cinesa (Cinema Network of San Antonio): offering educational and networking opportunities for film industry professionals and all others interested in the film industry; serving as a liaison with the film industry and for other individuals interested in promoting and increasing film production in San Antonio and throughout South Texas


The Flick Clique
: residents of the greater Youngstown area who want to see more non-mainstream fare on their movie screens. The Flick Clique's member's are interested in independent film makers, animation, shorts, documentaries and more; they sponsor the films and post-show discussions

Screen Studies at JMU (John Moores University): aims to span the separate but increasingly interwoven histories and practices of film, television, video and multimedia cultures

Society of Television Lighting Directors: provides a forum that stimulates a free exchange of ideas in all aspects of the television profession, promotes discussion on techniques and on the use and design of equipment, and more. Professional meetings are organized throughout the UK and abroad

Sooke Film Society: a member of the Vancouver Island Film Association (VIFA), and a participating community in the Island-wide initiative to promote the media industry in order to develop the economy of the region. The Society is interfacing with the local governing body in order that standards be maintained, and credibility established
