Check the Weather!

One of the things that irritates listeners to no end -- and makes you and your station look very silly -- is delivering the wrong "present" weather conditions.

Imagine your listeners hearing this from your station:

"Currently in Metropolis, it's sunny and 78 degrees . . . "
while they are in their car driving through a torrential downpour!

This happens often if you get your forecast and current conditions from the wire or TV, because they're only updated hourly. Make it a point to check outside often, or ask request callers what the weather's like where they are.
