May 1, 1995 I am writing you to thank you for accepting me into The Recording Connection program. Career Connection has opened up a brand new area for me in my field. I am pleased to let you know that I have already been hired at a 72-track facility in Los Angeles, known as Brooklyn Recording Studios. I am learning "hands-on" training from the Chief Engineer, Bill Dooley, who is also my teacher. At the present time, Brooklyn Studio is recording with acts such as: Brian Wilson, Don Henley, and in june, the studio is locked-out for the Rolling Stones. Although I am an intern, Career Connection has enabled me to work in a top of the line studio with some of the fnest people in the music industry. Granted, I know I have a long way to go before reaching solo engineer status. It's only a matter of time before my goal is reached. In closing, thank you again for your realistic view on the one-on-one approach to the recording arts. Sincerely, |
